Jenny Mallin : A Grandmother's Legacy - my Great Aunt Constance.

A woman of high social status, born in 1898, this is Constance's account of her life in Burma and the story of a civilian trek in 1942 involving thousands of people crossing treacherous terrain, coping with monsoons, jungles, steep mountain ranges and dangerous wildlife. Living in 1930's Rangoon meant a charmed life, filled with opulence, bon viveur and style; overnight this changed to a situation where there was no possibility of turning back but only in moving forward.
