The Craft group is a friendly, warm and welcoming one which meets every month. Meetings go from bubbly to quiet depending on how engrossed our members are, in the making of the craft for that month
There is a usually a planned programme of craft topics for the year with a range of crafts on offer. Members in the group volunteer to lead a session if they wish to. We are fortunate to have a community tutor from Highbury College to lead at least one session during the year.
We have been taught and guided through crafts, which are either refreshing members’ memories, or others are getting to grips with a new craft. There are varying degrees of success with any topic: in the main most, if not all, can feel they have started to master a new craft element.
Group activities continue to include a variety of different crafts with either group members or guest crafters leading the sessions. There is a small charge made to each group member to cover the room rental costs.
New members are welcome, irrespective of ability.
