Line Dancing 2 (For Fun)

Status:Active, open to new members
When: Fortnightly on Tuesday mornings 10:00 am-11:00 am
1st & 3rd Tuesday
Venue: Newlands Community Hall

Forget the stereotyped image of cowboy hats and boots, Line Dancing is a choreographed sequence of steps done in lines and to music. It covers many genres of dance, including Ballroom, Latin, Irish, Scottish and more.

It's great fun, excellent exercise for both mind and body and very sociable. It helps both coordination and balance and is a good all-round mental workout too. You don't need a partner or special clothes - you may be on your own but it's not a solitary activity.

This group is suitable for those who have a bit of Line Dancing experience under their belt but are not too serious about it.

We go through several dances each session, some slow, some fast and regularly add new ones to our repertoire as we go along (that's when we all end up facing different directions!).
