We focus on talks given by members and guest speakers concerning Naval History events right back to Henry VIII with occasional visits to places of Naval historical interest. Among recent talks we have been informed about "The demise of Commander "Buster" Crabbe RN and the "Raid on St Nazaire by HMS Cambeltown in WW2.
Members are encouraged to research subjects and broaden their own knowledge.

Visit to Chatham Historical Dockyard - June 2015

21 members of the group visited the historic dockyard which started with a guided orientation tour of the whole site on the coach. This was followed by a very informative and entertaining talk in the “Ropery” where two members were shown/ordered to make rope. We then worked our way around all the excellent exhibits across the site which included the submarine HMS Ocelot and the WW2 frigate HMS Cavalier.
